We were supposed to go on a band trip to see it my senior year, but the company the drum major had set things up with turned out to be a scam, and we all lost our deposits. I've read the story, and I saw a movie adaptation of it, but I'm sure it's nowhere near the same. Maybe I should start hinting to my mom now that going to see Phantom would make a wonderful 30th birthday present. I wouldn't mind seeing Cats either. Or any halfway decent musical. The only ones I've ever seen are the little plays we put on in high school - "Tied to the Tracks" (where I played a can can dancer who was traveling with a medicine show...) and "The Princess and the Magic Pea". Fun, but just not quite the same level. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Lee Reed" To: Sent: Monday, August 12, 2002 2:23 AM Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] What's in your CD player? > omg, i just had to read the first line...my mother in law took me to toronto > to see the phantom for my 30th birthday...i think that was the best present > i've ever gotten... > Lee > > > >From: "Tara" > >Reply-To: The New Improved Less Lame List > >To: "The New Improved Less Lame List" > >Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] What's in your CD player? > >Date: Fri, 9 Aug 2002 22:03:00 -0400 > > > >"Night-time sharpens, > >heightens each sensation . . . > >Darkness stirs and > >wakes imagination . . . > >Silently the senses > >abandon their defenses . . ." > > > >"Think of me, think of me fondly when we've said goodbye. > >Remember me, once in a while, Please promise me you'll try. > >When you find, that once again you long to take your heart back and be > >free, > >If you ever find a moment, spare a thought for me." > > > >"Sing once > >again with me > >our strange > >duet . . . > >My power > >over you > >grows stronger > >yet . . . > >And though > >you turn from me, > >to glance > >behind, > >the Phantom of the Opera > >is there - > >inside your mind . . ." > > ----- Original Message ----- > > From: Nanci > > To: The New Improved Less Lame List > > Sent: Friday, August 09, 2002 9:32 PM > > Subject: Re: [ Creed Discuss ] What's in your CD player? > > > > > > Tara, who is Michael Crawford?
